First time seeing an Osteopath and I found Jackie by a friends recommendation, and I can see why. Jackie is fantastic! I was instantly put at ease with her, she knows her stuff and was constantly telling me what was happening etc as she was doing all weird and wonderful stretches! She has a very calming nature and is clearly a true professional. After 3 months of pain I walked away feeling much looser. She was very efficient with following up on the same day with exercises and they also use a portal where you can view the exercises and videos so you can visually see how to carry them out, which is great. Fantastic service and very reasonably priced. Without a doubt would recommend her to anyone needing an osteopath.

After being in pain for more than 3 years, I found there was hope. The treatment was amazing and I immediately felt better. I have only had one treatment but received all the exercises and will do daily. There was a thorough discussion about my history which I was not expecting but proved invaluable. Also Jackie was so friendly, it made it easier to connect with all that was going on. I am sure I need more help but would recommend Jackie and her approach to treatment

I’ve been seeing Osteopaths on and off for 25 years and I can honestly say that this has been my best experience so far! After being in terrible pain with sciatica… Within an hour Jackie had me virtually pain free! She went straight to the problem, explained everything thoroughly, discussing the issues and what she was going to do at every step, leaving me feeling relaxed and confident in her ability to get me mobile and pain free! Thank you so so much! I can’t recommend highly enough x

Booked on a recommendation when I injured my back and very happy to now recommend myself. Helpful and understanding, took time to discuss the issue and offer advice, and generally great all round. Glad i went as feel I have a plan to recovery and know how to (literally) move forward again.

Jackie is one of the best! Her knowledge is phenomenal and I always go away with more understanding about my body and how to look after it. The online booking is excellent- you can see at a glance when she is available- no fuss or messaging!

I couldn’t recommend Jackie enough. I took my 5 year old daughter to see her and she was amazing. Jackie made my daughter feel at ease straight away and sorted her problem. I wouldn’t see anyone else now. - Google review

Jackie is amazing. I went yesterday with what was heading for a full-on frozen shoulder. After some admittedly quite painful manipulation, I now have 99% movement back! Jackie is very careful to listen, suggest what the problem might be and then explain what she is going to do to help you out. As an ex-hockey player herself (come on get back in there!!) she understands the mentality of those of us who play sport on a regular basis. If you ache or hurt definitely give her a try. Booking an appointment online is also incredibly simple.

Retired,

Jackie Gowland has been my Osteopath for the last 10+ years, treating my various back, shoulder and neck issues, initially at her Chislehurst practice and now at the Blackfen practice. During this time, Jackie has always been very professional, approachable and, above all, empathetic. She goes the extra mile by following up on appointments, emailing information sheets showing exercises to do at home which complements the manipulation she has done. Jackie is passionate about the benefits of osteopathy and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is considering consulting her.

I started having back pain a couple of years ago. There was no particular incident that I can link to the cause of the problem. I was assessed and treated by numerous professionals but unfortunately, none of the treatments made a significant improvement to my condition. Jackie came highly recommended to me, so I decided to seek her help. She is very knowledgeable and experienced and has given me lots of guidance and support on my road to recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend Jackie to anyone. She is a true professional who takes on a very personal approach towards her clients.

I booked an appointment initially for my neck. After the initial consultation and assessment, Jackie went to work, working on my neck, back, hips and legs. I can honestly say I have never felt better. I now have regular sessions to keep everything aligned. I cannot recommend highly enough, First class treatment and I can now carry on my training pain-free.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and find that these treatments really help with managing my condition. It affects the way I walk, which has a knock-on effect on my posture causing back and neck pain. I wanted to give holistic treatments a go, to try and avoid too much medication. I found Jackie's original clinic by searching online and, as they are close to where I live, decided to give them a go. That was about 4 years ago and I haven’t looked back. I am very happy with the service I receive. Jackie is warm, yet professional and has always made me feel better when I’ve been to see her. She has a no-nonsense approach but is very calm and kind. A rare combination. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her

Registered Nurse

I sought help from an Osteopath having struggled with a hip and knee problem for some time. Jackie took a detailed history and then over 6 sessions used joint mobilisation, manipulation and soft tissue massage which reduced pain and swelling. She also suggested exercises and techniques to minimise further damage which in combination with the treatment resulted in a considerable overall improvement. Jackie was at all times professional, highly knowledgable, friendly and approachable. As a Registered Nurse, I very much valued her expertise and would not hesitate to recommend her.

Mr R.B.

I first sought advice with lower back issues in early 2007 whilst preparing for a long-distance cycling event.   The core problem was diagnosed and treated in the space of 2 visits greatly reducing the pain experienced after hours in the saddle and improving the flexibility and posture issues that I previously had. I went away from the consultations with an immediate improvement but also armed with recommended exercises and stretches designed to avoid the recurrence of injury.   I have continued to work with the practice since then to keep the problems at bay and to work alongside my sporting goals as the targets have changed in recent years.

I first came to Jackie with a long-standing mobility problem and muscle weakness. I had tried several treatment options and didn’t know where to go next. After a full examination, including details of history and life-style, Jackie was able to explain the causes, and put together a course of treatment, tailored to my needs, involving therapy in the clinic and exercises at home sent to me by email. Jackie is thorough, knowledgeable and flexible in her approach, adjusting the programme as recovery progresses. She has experience of a wide variety of treatments to draw on and was also able to help with a chronic sinus problem. I should add that she is good company, and our sessions are filled with laughter and good conversation! A visit to Jackie is a real tonic! I am nearly back to full strength, and I am grateful that I found Jackie when I did. Now that I understand the importance of the skeleton and muscle structure of the body to all the other systems, I shall continue to check in with Jackie to ensure that the difficulties do not recur.
