Services & Patients
Telehealth Consultations
These are for those patients who cannot or should not come into clinic because they are self-isloating or shielding, or because they do not want to come in.
Pre Screening Assesments
These are for those patients who would like to come in for a Face to Face appointment so that we can ensure that this is the correct option for both you and us, these are part of our risk assessment process.
Face to Face Appointments
These are for those patients who would like to come in for a Face to Face including hands on treatment. You will be required to complete a pre screening assessment before a face to face appointment
Telehealth appointments
Telehealth appointments for anyone who needs advice regarding injuries or aches and pains relating to their joints, muscles, ligaments etc. These are particularly useful if you are self isolating or are in the high risk category and are shielding.
Pre-Screening & Face to Face Appointment
These appointments are for those people who are not self isolating or shielding and do not fall into any of the high risk categories.
At this stage I am only seeing adults, however once the guidance on children has been updated I will be seeing children as well.
Reducing the Risk
Infection Prevention & Control
Following an extensive risk assessment , we have introduced a number of measures to reduce the risk to our patients and our osteopath. These include
Pre Screening Form
This will be sent to you on booking, you will be asked a number of questions regarding your current health to determine if a face to fac appointment will be suitable for you.
Pre Screening & Case history Calls
Jackie will be calling you prior to any face to face appointments to complete a pre screening assessment and to take a case history, so minimising the amount of time you spend in clinic.
Infection Prevention & Control
These are detailed in the risk assessment and include, PPE for your osteopath, hand washing protocols, salon & clinic room cleaning protocols, and an overall Safe Guarding Policy
Face to Face Appointment
These appointments are for those people who are not self isolating or shielding and do not fall into any of the high risk categories.
At this stage I am only seeing adults, however once the guidance on children has been updated I will be seeing children as well.
Jackie & PPE.
Jackie will be wearing full PPE - Face Mask, Gloves, Apron and once she starts treating she may be wearing a Face Shield. This is very warm to wear so she may look a little pink occasionally!!!.
Patient & PPE.
The current Government guidance recommends wearing a face covering in an enclosed space where social distancing isn’t possible and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet.
Evidence suggests that wearing a face covering does not protect you. However, if you are infected but have not yet developed symptoms, it may provide some protection for others you come into close contact with.
This will help us to reduce the spread of the virus in clinic.
You will be asked to clean your hands using a hand sanitiser before you come into the Salon and again when you get upstairs in the clinic room.
Jackie will clean her hands before putting her gloves on and will remove her gloves and clean her hands again after every patient.
A new protocol has been drawn up for cleaning the Salon and the Clinic Room, as well as disposing of waste safely
The clinic room will be cleaned aerated between every patient, so Jackie will not be down to pick you up as soon as the previous patient has left.
Other changes
These have been spaced out more and time allowed for cleaning after every patient. this means that you may see Jackie come down to see the previous patient out, but she will not welcome you into the salon until the room has been cleaned ready for you.
This will help to minimise your contact with the salon staff, therapists and other clients.
We will not be allowing peopleto wait in reception
You will be asked to wait outside the Salon until such time as Jackie is ready to come and welcome you in. Therefore we would ask that you do not arrive early for your appointment. She will open the door for you when she is ready.
Jackie will guide you through the Salon following a particular path and will open all doors for you. This will help to minimise your contact with the salon staff, therapists and other clients.
The surfaces have been cleared of any extra items that are not needed regularly, and soft furnishings have where possible been removed from clinic, and replaced with wipeable ones.
This includes the plinth cover, so you may want to bring your own towel with you.
If you book online you will be asked to pay for your appointment on booking.
if you book through Jackie you will be sent a payment link to your phone or email so that you can pay prior to your screening appointment.
We will no longer be accepting cash.
